The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is a registered charity dedicated to providing practical assistance to those in need. Our volunteers distribute food or grocery cards, furniture, housewares and other essentials to a dignified life.
In 2024 we helped more than 14,000 people, including some 6,000 children. Our volunteers go out in pairs to visit people in need. Once needs are assessed, basic necessities are then delivered.
We bring the love of Christ to serve the poor on a person to person basis. Those in need are always treated with dignity and provided with support as they struggle in crisis situations.
We acknowledge that Treaty 6 and Treaty 7 territory, on which we stand,
is the ancestral traditional land of the Indigenous peoples,
and is common home to everyone in virtue of God, our Creator’s, gracious gift.
Your donations of material goods (furniture, household goods) and monetary assistance enable us to carry out our mission.
The Society is powered by volunteers. Donations of your time and talents are critical to this work. Click Volunteer to see how you might help.
